POWERMAN Malaysia Hosts Its First-Ever Race Simulation in Putrajaya

PUTRAJAYA, 11 July 2026 – POWERMAN Malaysia marked an important milestone on Saturday with the successful organisation of its first-ever official Race Simulation at DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside.

Held as part of the preparations for POWERMAN Malaysia 2026, the simulation provided registered athletes with an opportunity to experience a structured Run–Bike–Run environment and gain a better understanding of the physical, technical and operational demands of a duathlon.

POWERMAN Malaysia 2026 will take place from 18–20 September 2026 at Dataran Putrajaya.

A Valuable Race-Day Preparation Experience

Participants completed a controlled 10km Run, 20km Bike and 10km Run simulation. While the session did not cover the full POWERMAN Malaysia race distance or use the official race route, it was carefully designed to help athletes practise essential race-day routines.

These included pacing, transition management, equipment preparation, hydration, nutrition planning and managing their energy across all three disciplines.

The session began with a compulsory race briefing covering the simulation format, safety procedures, transition rules and key technical information.

Throughout the session, athletes were able to practise entering and exiting the transition area, changing efficiently between the run and bike disciplines and refining their individual race strategies ahead of the main event in September.

Supported by Official POWERMAN Malaysia Partners

The successful delivery of the first POWERMAN Malaysia Race Simulation was made possible through the support of several official partners.

Gruppeto, the official clubhouse partner of POWERMAN Malaysia, played an important role in bringing the community together and supporting participants throughout the session. Its involvement helped create an encouraging environment where athletes of different experience levels could train, connect and prepare together.

The simulation was also supported by Go Getter Performance led by their Official Coach, which provided professional coaching guidance, technical advice and race preparation support. The coaches helped participants better understand pacing, transitions and the importance of managing their effort throughout the Run–Bike–Run format.

Keeping participants refreshed throughout the session was UPBOUND, the Official Hydration Partner. Its hydration support helped athletes replenish and recover during the demanding morning session, while also giving participants an opportunity to experience the hydration support they can expect as part of the wider POWERMAN Malaysia event experience.

Following the simulation, participants were able to receive recovery support from Propain, the Official Massage Partner. Its team provided massage and recovery services to help athletes manage muscle fatigue and begin their post-training recovery.

The event was further supported by operational personnel, marshals, medical teams, coaches and volunteers, ensuring that the simulation was conducted in a safe, controlled and well-coordinated environment.

A Special Thank You to DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside

POWERMAN Malaysia extends its sincere appreciation to DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside for hosting the first-ever POWERMAN Malaysia Race Simulation and for supporting the event throughout the morning.

Located beside the scenic Putrajaya Lake, the hotel provided a welcoming and convenient setting for participants, coaches, partners and the organising team.

The hotel’s hospitality, facilities and support played an important role in helping POWERMAN Malaysia deliver a positive and memorable experience for everyone involved.

Building Confidence Ahead of Race Weekend

Most importantly, POWERMAN Malaysia congratulates every athlete who participated in the simulation.

Their commitment, discipline and positive energy reflected the strong community spirit that continues to define POWERMAN Malaysia.

The first Race Simulation was more than a training session. It was an opportunity for athletes to build confidence, learn from experienced coaches, test their equipment and nutrition strategies, connect with the POWERMAN community and take another meaningful step towards the POWERMAN Malaysia 2026 start line.

With race weekend approaching, athletes are encouraged to continue preparing consistently, familiarise themselves with the official race information and continue refining their pacing, equipment, hydration and nutrition plans.

POWERMAN Malaysia 2026 will welcome athletes from more than 30 countries for an unforgettable weekend of Run–Bike–Run racing in Putrajaya.
