4,500 athletes. Over 30 nations. One incredible POWERMAN community.
POWERMAN Malaysia 2026 was more than just a race. It was a true demonstration of resilience, determination, and the unbreakable spirit of our duathlon community.
Despite the unexpected haze conditions that challenged this year’s event, thousands of athletes came together in Putrajaya, proving that the POWERMAN spirit goes far beyond the finish line.
With athlete safety remaining our highest priority, the organising team, together with the relevant authorities and technical officials, made the difficult but necessary decision to implement a reduced race format.
While the circumstances were far from what we had originally envisioned, the determination, understanding, and sportsmanship shown by our athletes were nothing short of extraordinary.
Our greatest disappointment was the cancellation of POWERKIDS. 💔
We know how much our young champions had been looking forward to their race. The excitement, preparation, and anticipation from both the children and their families meant so much to us. Making the decision to cancel was heartbreaking, but protecting the health and well-being of our youngest athletes had to come first.
To every POWERKIDS participant and family, we are truly sorry that we could not give you the race experience you deserved. Your enthusiasm and support have not gone unnoticed, and we hope to welcome you back to the starting line.
heartfelt thank you to all our partners, sponsors, and supporters. 🤝
The success of POWERMAN Malaysia 2026 would not have been possible without the commitment, trust, and invaluable contributions of every organisation that stood alongside us.
From our government and local authorities to our event partners, commercial sponsors, technical partners, suppliers, and supporting organisations, your collective efforts played an essential role in bringing this event to life.
Your flexibility, cooperation, and unwavering support were especially meaningful as we navigated the unexpected challenges brought by the haze. We are truly grateful for the confidence you placed in POWERMAN and your continued commitment to the sporting community.
To our organising team, volunteers, technical officials, medical personnel, and everyone working tirelessly behind the scenes, thank you for going above and beyond to deliver the best possible event under challenging circumstances.
Most importantly, to our athletes, thank you for your patience, understanding, and trust throughout an exceptionally challenging weekend.
Not every race goes according to plan. But sometimes, the most memorable events are those that remind us what sport is truly about: unity, resilience, respect, and the courage to keep moving forward.
Malaysia, thank you for showing the world the true POWERMAN spirit.
We came together. We adapted. We persevered.
And we look forward to coming back stronger. 💛🖤
