POWERMAN Malaysia 2026 Brings Duathlon Excitement to Apa Khabar Malaysia

POWERMAN Malaysia recently gained national spotlight through a special feature on BERNAMA’s Apa Khabar Malaysia, further reinforcing the event’s growing impact on Malaysia’s endurance sports and tourism landscape ahead of the 2026 edition.

The television appearance highlighted the continued growth of POWERMAN Malaysia as the world’s biggest duathlon and one of the leading sporting events under the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign.

Representing the event on the programme, POWERMAN Malaysia Event Director Niklas Yong Tzy Foong shared insights into the scale of the upcoming 2026 edition, which is expected to welcome up to 5,000 participants from around the world to Putrajaya from 18–20 September 2026.

The discussion focused on how POWERMAN Malaysia has evolved beyond a race into a major international sports tourism platform, bringing together athletes, families, communities, and brands within one event experience.

With participants travelling from various countries each year, the event continues to generate strong tourism value for Malaysia through hotel stays, dining, local transportation, and extended travel experiences throughout the country.

The feature also highlighted Putrajaya’s role as an ideal destination for international endurance sports, offering wide roads, iconic city views, and a race-ready environment that has helped establish POWERMAN Malaysia as the biggest event in the global POWERMAN World Series calendar.

Beyond race competition, POWERMAN Malaysia continues to expand its community ecosystem through official training programmes, strategic partnerships, and athlete engagement initiatives leading into race weekend.

The programme additionally showcased how the event welcomes participants across all levels from elite international athletes to first-time runners and cyclists taking on the challenge of the Run–Bike–Run format.

As preparations continue for the 2026 edition, POWERMAN Malaysia remains committed to elevating the athlete experience while positioning Malaysia as a premier destination for international endurance sports.

The appearance on Apa Khabar Malaysia marks another important milestone in the continued growth of the POWERMAN brand, both locally and globally.
