POWERMAN Malaysia 2026 successfully hosted its 1st Official Brick Session last Sunday in collaboration with its Official Community Partner, Gruppetto Clubhouse, bringing together around 60 participants for a real-world duathlon training experience ahead of race season.
The session began early in the morning from Gruppetto Clubhouse in Shah Alam, where participants rolled out together for a group ride towards Kuala Lumpur city centre. The peloton made its way to Daily Dose Coffee near KLCC before transitioning into a 5KM run around KLCC Park, creating a true experience to race-day conditions.
After completing the run session, participants regrouped and rode back to Shah Alam, completing a full endurance-focused community activation that combined training, transition practice, pacing, and athlete interaction.
The activation was designed as part of POWERMAN Malaysia’s community engagement initiative to introduce the duathlon format to both beginner and experienced athletes, while building momentum towards POWERMAN Malaysia 2026.
Working with an Official Community Partner like Gruppetto Clubhouse plays an important role in creating a safer, more structured, and beginner-friendly environment for athletes entering the sport. Through experienced ride leaders, controlled pacing groups, safety briefings, and organised route management, participants are able to train in a more confident and supportive setting.
Beyond training itself, the collaboration also strengthens the sense of community within the endurance sports scene. Athletes are able to learn directly from experienced riders and runners, understand transition techniques, improve race preparation, and connect with like-minded individuals who share the same passion for performance and endurance sports.
The strong turnout and positive energy from the session further highlighted the growing excitement surrounding POWERMAN Malaysia and the increasing interest in structured duathlon-focused community training sessions.
As the road to POWERMAN Malaysia 2026 continues, more community activations and official training sessions are expected to take place in the lead-up to race weekend in Putrajaya this September.
