On 12 April 2026, Alsdorf once again takes centre stage in European duathlon hosting the European Championships for the third time and the German Championships for the ninth consecutive year, right in the heart of the city.

This firmly establishes Alsdorf and the StädteRegion Aachen as a premier destination a true stronghold for duathletes from across Germany and Europe.

But that’s not all.

POWERMAN Alsdorf is part of the POWERMAN Duathlon World Series the world’s leading non-drafting duathlon circuit, spanning sprint, middle, and long-distance races across the globe. As one of the most prestigious races on the calendar, it brings together elite and age group athletes at the highest level of competition.

At the championship level, athletes take on the iconic 10km run • 60km bike • 10km run format the official distance for both the European and German Championships, and a definitive test of endurance, strategy, and performance.

Event Info

To ensure the safety of all athletes and the smooth running of the event, cut-off times will be enforced on course. Athletes who are unable to reach the required cut-off points will not be permitted to continue and will be recorded as Did Not Finish (DNF).

  • POWERMAN Short: 4.5 hours

  • POWERMAN Classic: 5.5 hours

Yes. Medical teams and race marshals will be stationed along the course and at key locations to ensure athlete safety throughout the event.

Participants must present a valid photo ID (NRIC/Passport) and the official registration confirmation (digital or printed) during Race Pack Collection. Failure to produce the required documents may result in the race pack not being issued.

Yes, proxy collection may be allowed. The authorised representative must present:

  • A copy of the participant’s photo ID

  • A signed authorisation letter

  • The participant’s registration confirmation

Yes. All athletes participating in categories that include cycling must complete bike check-in at the designated time and location. Bikes that do not comply with race regulations may not be permitted to race.
